I Leap From Cliffs of False Belief

I gaze into your eyes.
My fear begins to rise.
I feel exposed and paralyzed.
After all – my dream was traumatized! .

I stay with fear.
I stay with you.
I sense a soft reminder.
Let go all desire.

Here we are face to face.
No place for me to hide.
Your open heart draws me in.
I forget belief in sin.

Your image strange at first.
I begin to focus in.
I ask, “What is this”?
You greet me with a kiss.

Letting go of worn defenses.
The past drips from my brow.
Letting go of expectations.
Released from pain somehow.

Relaxing in as vision changes.
My body’s eyes see something new.
Regrets and sadness fall away.
Compassion’s mist lights my way.

Concepts of my separation.
Fear’s fantasy resigns.
Self imposed obligations,
Tears wash them from my eyes.

Sobbing heaves out old samskaras.
Screaming ancient warrior cries.
Into the river of release,
I leap from cliffs of false belief.

Fully Expressed

I never planned or set out to write. Yet it has become one of the ways I practice speaking in my own voice. It’s like this wild stallion bursts on the scene and invites me to ride him. So I accept and somehow board this wild and inspired manifestation. Hanging on to the thrill I ride this stallion into the mystery; to other worlds, ecstatic moments, and beautiful vistas. As I ride I feel fully alive and free. I feel all encumbrances fall away. And from this vantage point I see you in all your beauty and magnificence. And I write…

Do you know who you really are? Do you know what you really are? Do you want to know? I do. I want to experience who you really are. I want to experience who I really am. Strip off the garments of illusion. Cast off your defenses. Unlock the heavy doors that you think protect you. And if you find it too difficult, send out a call for freedom from deep within your belly.

Let your call rise as a mighty volcano which has been suppressed way too long. Your magnificence – this holy magma which wants to erupt from the fire deep within you, does not want to be inhibited any longer. Stand – Step forth – unlock your inhibition. Express the voice of your heart. Speak in your own voice. Express your magnificence.

Your magnificence will transform conflict into peace, sadness into joy, hell into heaven, and fear into love. Why is it we all want to connect and enjoy the intimacy of being seen, heard, and known, yet we tenaciously defend against it by establishing our conditions for love and intimacy; conditions engineered and established by fear? Love has no conditions. It is not afraid. It just is. It just loves. It is just according to its true nature.

Is love not like a river flowing, a wind blowing, the sun shining, the breath breathing, or the harmony of our voices singing? Let’s cast away fear’s conditions and allow the magma of our magnificence to erupt and flow from the depths of our being; stunning, captivating, purifying, a natural wonder.

All barriers and blocks must be released so the mighty river of love can flow to the sea. Cast yourself into the river of release and flow to the sea. All rivers join in the sea without condition. I invite you to live your life as a free and unrestrained flow of being who you really are; magnificent, uninhibited, unrestrained, kind, compassionate, loving, and fully expressed.

I invite you to flow to the sea; into the silent depths of self-love; into who you really are. Accept yourself without condition as the sea accepts all rivers without condition. Wait no more, open your heart, offer yourself to the mystery – express yourself fully – flow to the sea.
